Responsible business owners value their people, brand and reputation. They desire the control, assurance and peace of mind that only a smart first aid system can provide.
Clever First Aid® significantly raises the standards of compliance, helping companies to consistently comply with regulations and mitigate litigation risks. The regulatory guidance for USA, Australia and New Zealand is provided by way of illustration.
To ensure the business is prepared for unexpected injury, federal regulations require businesses to maintain properly stocked first aid kits in convenient areas.
OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations require businesses to keep clear records on workplace injuries and illnesses.
Clever First Aid® solves these problems by assisting you to maintain a correctly stocked first aid Cabinet and generate clear records of use.
Safe Work Australia’s code of practice explicitly states that all first aid kits must be checked after every use and a record of every accident maintained.
The code states:
“A record of first aid treatment given should be kept by the first aider and reported to managers on a regular basis to assist reviewing first aid arrangements”
“Monitor usage of the first aid kit and ensure items used are replaced as soon as practicable after use, carry out regular checks, after each use”
With traditional first Cabinets/kits/Stations these requirements can often be overlooked or not undertaken correctly given operational time constraints.
Clever First Aid® solves these problems by assisting you to maintain a correctly stocked first aid Cabinet and generate clear records of use.
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), every business or organization (PCBU) is required to have a first aid kit(s).
It must be inspected regularly, and the correct stock maintained. Moreover, there is an obligation under the Act to keep records of all accidents in the workplace.
In the case of ‘old school’ first aid kits there is no automatic recording of events and while inspections may occur periodically, what happens in between inspections is often unknown and unrecorded.
The fines for a failure to keep records under Section 57 of the Act are up to $25,000 per offence and up to $50,000 for failure to comply with a Duty, such as ensuring first aid kits are ready.
Clever First Aid® solves these problems by assisting you to maintain a correctly stocked first aid cabinet and generate clear records of use.
