About LifePak CR2 4G Internet Enabled AED
The LIFEPAK 4G AED features built-in cellular connectivity, allowing it to stay connected to the internet at all times. This smart connection enables continuous, real-time monitoring of device readiness across multiple locations nationwide.
The LIFEPAK CR2 guides the operator through operating procedures with a combination of voice prompts, flashing LEDs, and visual prompts.
The Stryker LIFEPAK CR2 Automated External Defibrillator (AED) features an escalating energy protocol. For adult patients, the device delivers shocks at increasing energy levels: 200 joules for the first shock, 300 joules for the second, and 360 joules for the third and subsequent shocks. For pediatric patients, when Child Mode is activated, the energy levels are reduced appropriately: 50 joules for the first shock, 75 joules for the second, and 90 joules for the third and subsequent shocks.

Warranty & Support
The CR2 4G comes with a comprehensive 8-year warranty, backed by full support from Clever. In the event of a malfunction due to normal use, excluding damage from misuse or mishandling, we will promptly arrange a free replacement. Will the AED need to be replaced after 8 Years?
- Coverage: The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for 8 years. Devices are replaced under warranty (not repaired) as long as issues aren't due to misuse, improper storage, or tampering.
- Lifespan: Most AEDs, including the LIFEPAK CR2, are designed to last around 8–10 years with proper maintenance. Devices are guaranteed under warranty up to 8 years, but may be used beyond this timeframe.
- End-of-Life: While the warranty ends at 8 years, the AED might still function well beyond this point. However, it’s recommended to plan for replacement around 8 years to stay compliant with guidelines and ensure maximum reliability.
- Data Plan: Yes, customers wishing to use the device beyond 8 years will need to purchase a new data plan to continue utilising 4G monitoring capability.
How long will the implementation take?
- Clever could require at least 6 weeks' notice to arrange AED delivery.
- A rollout will be coordinated with you based on your situation.
How is the AED maintained after implementation?
- Maintenance: No formal manual maintenance is required. The devices self-monitor daily, weekly, and monthly, depending on the component.
- Real-time Monitoring: Stores will receive updates on device readiness. If a device becomes unready (e.g., expired batteries, expired electrodes, device fault, or failed internet connection), a Clever Readiness Report will send a notification via email.
What happens if the system fails?
- Status Indicator Light will turn red or blink instead of green.
- Audio/Visual alerts (beeping, flashing) may occur.
- Clever will diagnose the issue remotely and advise the best course of action.
What kind of warranty is included with the AED?
The warranty covers defects or faults not caused by misuse, improper storage, or tampering. In practice, warranty claims are rarely denied. For details, refer to the attached warranty guidelines.
Who is responsible for applying software updates?
- The CR2 4G units support automatic software updates.
- No manual updates or intervention by the end user will be needed.
